Western Cape Deeds Office Statistics

Dear Members and Colleagues, please see below statistics provided by the Registrar of Deeds on 12 March 2025 :

"Good day

The current turn around times for lodged deeds being made available at Prep is as follows:-

7 days= 75%

8 days= 93%

9 days= 98%

The office is currently up to date and there is no backlog at Examination Section.

There is 4% improvement compared to yesterday status (71% to 75%)to make majority (95%) of deeds lodged be made available within 7 days of lodgement at Prep.

The current turn around times for delivery of registered deeds is as follows:-

7 days= 31%

8 days= 72%

9 days= 90%

10 days= 97%.

The office is currently within the target of 95% within 10 days. Target exceeded however there’s a 1% drop in performance compared to yesterday.

We are working on improving the current status to make all (100%) of deeds registered to be delivered within 10 days.
